Who I am
Jill Ennis Coaching is a small sole proprietorship providing transformational coaching and communication consulting services.
In order to provide these services and stay in contact with you about them, I may need to collect personal data about you. Some of it will be necessary for us to step into a working relationship together, and other parts are optional and completely voluntary on your part.
Your privacy is very important to me, and the policy below outlines how I specifically use, store, and protect your data.
My website address is: https://jillennis.com.
What personal data I collect and why I collect it
Contact forms
When you attempt to communicate with me or request more information about my services through designated contact forms on my website, I collect a limited amount of personal data (as shown in the form fields) to help me understand who you are and what you’re looking for. Form responses get forwarded to my protected personal e-mail account.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on my site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit my login page, my website will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, my website will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
My website uses Jetpack Site Stats to track visitor sources and habits. It does not reveal personal data about you.
Who I share your data with
I respect your privacy as I do my own and do NOT share your data with any third parties without your consent.
Note that you may be asked to provide data to one or more of my service partners in order to facilitate or enhance your experience with me. I use these companies’ services because I trust them, but you are encouraged to review their privacy policies and make your own decisions before proceeding to use them.
- MAILCHIMP — Mailchimp allows you to voluntarily subscribe to email newsletters from me as well as update your subscription preferences. You may also unsubscribe at any time via the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of each email. Click here for Mailchimp’s privacy policy.
- SATORI — My client portal through Satori lets me send you automated email reminders of appointments and lets you manage schedules, review agreements, access your billing history and update your profiles. It’s SSL encrypted and password protected to keep your data safe. Click here for Satori’s privacy policy.
- STRIPE — Credit card payments for my services are processed securely through Stripe. Click here for Stripe’s privacy policy.
How long I retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so my website can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on my website (if any), it also stores the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Email addresses are kept on file unless you unsubscribe from my email list.
If you become a client, paper and digital files containing notes about our work together may be held in my home office and in my Satori client portal. If you have any concerns about data privacy, you may request that certain records be shredded immediately. Otherwise, I typically destroy and discard files one year after our work concludes.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where I send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
